& Maternal Immunization Symposium
ESPID - SLIPE Research Masterclass (RMC)
@ INMIS
We are now inviting young researchers and teams to this exciting training opportunity.
The RMC is designed as a closed, seminar-type forum for active Pediatric Research groups.
March 11, 2024
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
limited availability
Who should apply?
- The primary aim of the RMC is to provide better opportunities for young researchers to present their studies and discuss their research with other junior colleagues as well as with Global research leaders. During the Masterclass the junior researchers will present their data, ask questions, or chair a session. They will receive guidelines for scientific discussion in a seminar-type atmosphere. The second aim is to provide the researchers with a better view of recent global research and to stimulate discussions and new research collaborations.
- The masterclass is based on the attendance of research groups. The research groups should constitute a group of one (1) senior and a maximum three (3) junior researchers (maximum group size is four (4) persons). The research performed can range from ‘bench-type’ basic and translational research to ‘bedside’ clinical studies (e.g., observational, case-control, randomized controlled, interventional), as well as epidemiological studies in any relevant area.
- Funding from ESPID/SLIPE will allow the meeting registration fee to be waived for junior participants who do not already have a bursary to attend INMIS, as well as lunch and tea/coffee during the Research Masterclass.
- Senior members are expected to cover the costs of their attendance (registration and travel/accommodations) to the meeting, unless already covered otherwise.
How to apply?
Please send us an email including the following:
- A list of the participants (1 senior, up to 3 juniors) with their credentials, affiliations and e-mail addresses;
- A short summary (max. one page, A4) of current research interests of the group;
- Abstracts* from individual junior members.
* The abstracts should not exceed 300 words in total and must be structured into separate sections (background, methods, results and conclusions). The abstract may be one that is already submitted to INMIS or a different one.
The format of RMC is well suited to present work-in-progress and will lead to valuable feedback and input from other research groups and senior research leaders.
Please, email your application with the above attachments (list of participants, summary of research interests, and abstracts) as soon as possible and no later than February 26th, 2024 to INMIS Secretariat – secretary@inmis.org
There is a limit to the number of groups that can participate; therefore acceptance will be based on the order in which applications are received.
Notifications of acceptance and further instructions for participation will be sent by February 29th, 2024
